Details Revealed For Free Event on June 30

Grammy nominated pop-rock band, The Plain White T’s

Crocker Park is excited to announce details for their annual Independence Day music fest, Liberty Rocks presented by Metro Lexus, on Sunday, June 30 from 3-9pm.

Liberty Rocks will host a line-up of fantastic musicians and entertainers alongside activities, a beer garden and food trucks throughout the evening. The main stage located in The Center Circle will include performances by Funk Worthy, Front Porch Lights, St. Edward High School Trash Talkers and other local bands all leading up to a concert by internationally known two-time Grammy nominated pop-rock band, The Plain White T’s, to close out the evening.

Since emerging in 1997 from Chicago, The Plain White T’s comprising of Tom Higgenson (vocals), Tim Lopez (lead guitar and vocals), Dave Tirio (rhythm guitar), Mike Retondo (bass) and De’Mar Hamilton (drums) have produced several recognizable hits including A Lonely September in 2001, their Billboard Hot 100 song, Hey There Delilah in 2005 and Rhythm of Love in 2010. The group recently released their newest album, Parallel Universe, which embodies their shift to creating music that speaks from their personal stories and experiences coming this far in life and the industry. The new album still contains The Plain White T’s signature “hummable” melodies while fusing electronic pop, lush guitar tones, and synth transmissions.

“Liberty Rocks is our way of celebrating summer and the beginning of Independence Day by bringing together the perfect way to enjoy yourself with music, food and fun,” said Stacie Schmidt, Vice President of Marketing at Stark Enterprises. “We are looking forward to hosting different bands and musicians including multi-platinum group, The Plain White T’s, along with vendors and activities to let each attendee make summer memories here at Crocker Park. It’s all happening here-all summer!”
