The Rocky River High boys and girls track teams each captured team titles at the Great Lakes Conference Championships hosted at Bay Memorial Stadium May 7-9.
It was the fourth straight league title for both teams as River’s boys topped runner-up Bay 210-185 and the Lady Pirates defeated runner-up Bay 159-118.
River’s boys were paced by firsts from 4 x 800 meter relay team, Daishaun Hill in the 110 and 300 hurdles, the 4 x 200 meter relay team, the 4 x 400 meter relay team, and Michael Shoaf in the shot put and discus. River’s girls were led by firsts from the 4 x 800 meter relay team, Makenna Pfaff in the 100 and 300 hurdles, the 4 x 200 meter relay team, the 4 x 100 meter relay team, Sam Coleman in the 1600 and 3200 meter run, and the 4 x 400 meter relay team.
