Westlake Firefighters Honored

The Westlake Fire Department celebrated the retirement of Firefighter Patrick Grealis March 12 at Fire State #1. Grealis spent 25 years with the City of Westlake and became well known for his work ethic, friendly demeanor and good sense of humor. In addition to being presented a Proclamation from Mayor Dennis M. Clough and an engraved plaque from Fire Chief Jim Hughes, Grealis also received a special token of appreciation from the Westlake Firefighters Local 1814 for his years representing local firefighters. Happy retirement, Pat!

March 9 was the final shift for Firefighter-Paramedic Christopher “Pal” Fielding. Chris started his career in the Fire Service with the Richmond Heights Fire Department, serving roughly three years before coming out to the west side when hired by the Westlake Fire Department on February 19th, 1996. We wish him a long and healthy retirement.

We’ll no longer “see you tomorrow,” Pal.
