Last week, Avon’s AP Studio Art and National Art Honor Society (NAHS) students spent the day outside painting snowplow blades for the annual “Don’t Crowd the Plow” community campaign!
After spending last week collaborating and brainstorming design plans after school, students brought their artwork to life in the back parking lot. This is our 3rd year participating in the program, which was originally brought to us by Officer Sullivan in partnership with the art department and the city.
These beautifully designed blades serve an important purpose: reminding drivers to give plows space and patience as they work to clear our city roads this winter.
Huge thanks to the City of Avon, Mrs. Busch and our amazing student artists for making our roads safer and a lot more colorful!
