All About You: Women’s Health is Focus of SJMC Program

St. John Medical Center’s All About You program, For Ladies Only: Your Breast Health, filled the house at Westwood Country Club on May 14.

115 women attended, starting off the evening visiting breast health information tables and enjoyed wine and pampering.  Following a sit down dinner, women heard from a panel of experts including radiologist Donna Plecha, MD, Director of Breast Imaging and Co-Medical Director of University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center Breen Breast Health Pavilion, surgeon Cathy Graham, MD, Medical Director of The Breast Health Center at St. John Medical Center, and plastic surgeon Vasu Pandrangi, MD, Chief of Plastic Surgery at St. John Medical Center.

The physicians spoke on mammogram guidelines, non-cancerous breast issues, risk assessments, breast enhancement and more.

“The event filled up very quickly,” said Pamela Hoch, Women’s Service Line Development Coordinator at St. John Medical Center. “It is evident there is both a need and a lot of interest in breast health education in our community. We are fortunate to have three of the finest regional physician experts in the field of breast health on hand in association with St. John Medical Center. We also appreciate the support of the community and the many ladies who are so faithful in attending our events.”
