You can’t got to the Lorain County Fair without running into the name of agricultural equipment supplier Born Implement.

The Amherst based company was started in 1965 by Howard Born and has since been the go-to supplier for agricultural equipment of all kinds ever since. Born equipment is also a generous sponsor and participant in the Lorain County Fair, donating tractor rides from the parking lot, taking part in the combine derby and more.

This year, it was time to say ‘Thank You’ to Howard Born, now residing at Avon Place on Detroit Road in Avon. He was given the grand marshal treatment at the combine derby on Sat., Aug. 26, and was greeted by friends, family, fair officials and more. All wanted to just say thanks to special man who has dedicated his life to the agricultural arts.
