Fall Color at the Avon Lake Wildcat Walk

Talk about your fall colors! 11 years ago, Avon Lake’s Westview school started a fundraiser called the Wildcat Walk. The goal was to provide an hour of walking to all students and a way to raise money for the PTA.

The school wanted to have a fundraiser that did not require students selling items and going door-to-door and have everyone participate whether they raised money or not.

Speed ahead to the past few years, the PTA changed it up a bit by adding the color element – the showering of students with colorful art dust!

Everyone participates regardless of raising money and everyone walks for close to one hour. The color just makes it a lot more exciting. And fun, too, on a beautiful autumn afternoon.
