Lake Road Avon Lake Section to Close for 60 Days

A section of Lake Road through Avon Lake will close this week for 60 days.

Starting the week of February 5, 2018, lasting for 60 days, Lake Road between Lear Road and South Point Drive will be closed to traffic. Construction crews will be performing storm and sanitary sewer work on Lake Road.

During this time, detour routes for passenger vehicles and trucks and commercial vehicles will be in place.

• Local Residents Only: US 6 eastbound to Lear Rd. south to Electric Ave. east to South Point Dr. north to US 6 and reverse.
• Passenger Vehicles: US 6 eastbound to Lear Rd. south, to Walker Rd. west, to Bradley Rd. north to US 6 and reverse.
• Trucks/Commercial Vehicles: US 6 eastbound to SR 83 south to SR 2 east, to Crocker Rd. north to US 6 and reverse.

Signs will be posted around the area and throughout Avon Lake and neighboring communities alerting traffic of the closure and detours.
