Bay Library Plans Unveiled

The Bay Village Planning Commission Architectural Board of Review met March 14 and rolled out the first renderings of the new Bay Village Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library to be built on the site of Bay Way Cabin. Planning Chairman Mark Barbour introduced Cuyahoga County Public Library (CCPL), who was there to present “a very exciting project and a potentially transformative project.”

Tracy Strobel, Deputy Director of CCPL spoke to the excitement of creating the new library. She introduced Jeremiah Swetel, Director of Facilities; Jessica Breslin, Branch Manager; and the design team from Moody Nolan; Library Trustee Robert Varley, Board Capital Committee. Moody Nolan is a Cleveland based architectural firm. Since its founding in 1982, projects at Moody Nolan have steadily grown in scope and scale. From early projects such as branch libraries and religious facilities, the firm has added projects with public works at universities, housing authorities, and hospitals throughout the country. They have offices nationwide.
