Avon Middle School Completes Clean Sweep

The North Coast Rotary Club recently held its annual 4-Way Test essay contest for middle school students (7-8 grade). Avon Middle School had a “clean sweep” of top winners. Congratulations to Sydney Brown, 14, eighth-grade; Liz White, 14, eighth-grade; and Maggie Yug, 13, seventh-grade.

First Place: Liz White’s essay ~ “Increasing Access to Libraries”

Second Place: Maggie Yug’s essay ~ “Guidelines for How to Act On-line”

Third Place: Sydney Brown’s essay ~ “Sparkle Cheer Program for Students with Disabilities”

Liz’s essay will be sent on to the District level to compete against other rotary clubs.
