The Westlake community helped the non-profit ReInventing The Cycle in Raising Awareness for Child Sexual Abuse Prevention by creating over seven hundred pinwheels that were “planted” on the Westlake Rec Center hill. The large display “STOP” clearly gives the message that this community is working to STOP child predators. Jennifer Wagner, Westlake High School student, stated, “It felt really good to be a part of this event and join so many others to recognize this cause.” ReInventing The Cycle is also helping by distributing their program Project S.T.O.P. into elementary schools which teach children skills to keep safe. School districts that don’t already have Project S.T.O.P. can visit www.ReInventingTheCycle.org and register to get a program free of charge.
