Reiki is a Japanese therapy in which the body’s energy is used to heal a variety of

illnesses. It is often used in conjunction with western medicine. According to Hindu

beliefs the chakras are centers of energy located along the midline of the body. Reiki uses

the chakras to direct the energy to specific places during the healing process.
