Westlake – Parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 28. Parade participants will depart from Sts. Peter & George Coptic Orthodox Church located on Hilliard Boulevard and proceed to Clague Park. A ceremony honoring those who gave their lives in service to our country will follow.
Bay Village – Parade will step off at about 8:45 a.m. from Huntington Park and march West on Lake Rd to the Lakeview Cemetery for services and recognition of the city founders that served early for our country. The parade will reform on Lake Rd and march East to Cahoon Rd and turn South to end at the Gazebo. Community leaders and some local honorees will be recognized at the Gazebo ceremony. A 21 gun salute, taps, and patriotic music will be part of the ceremony to honor our local Heroes and current Veterans in our community.
Avon Lake – Ceremony at 8 a.m. May 28 at Post 211 on Walker Road, memorial at Lakeshore Cemetery at 9 a.m.
Avon – Parade May 28, 9 a.m. from the Avon Senior Center and proceeds on Ohio 83 to the Avon Cemetery at the corner of Ohio 83 and Detroit Road.
Rocky River – The Joint Veterans Council of Lakewood and Rocky River Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on May 29 in Rocky River, will begin at 10 a.m. at Rocky River High School and continue west on Detroit Road to Lakewood Park Cemetery. After the parade, a ceremony will take place at Lakewood Park Cemetery. May 27 at Lakewood Park Cemetery, beginning at 8:30 a.m., community members are encouraged to join members of the Joint Veterans Council and other volunteers in placing 3,500 American flags on the graves of veterans who have been laid to rest at the cemetery. After volunteers are invited to enjoy a light lunch at the American Legion Post #451, 19911 Lake Rd. May 28 at Rocky River City Hall Park, beginning at 7:00 p.m., the Rocky River High School Jazz Band will be performing. Bring a lawn chair.
Fairview Park – Parade starts at West 208th Street & Lorain Rd marching east to the Fairview Park Cemetery located between 196th and South Valley Dr on Lorain Rd at 9 a.m. Conclusion of the Parade: American Legion Post 738 Ceremony with the Fairview High School Marching Band, at Fairview Park Cemetery. Closing Ceremonies and Open House: Remembrance of the fallen of American Legion Post 738 and Open House at American Legion Post 738 at 19311 Lorain Road.
North Ridgeville – Parade will depart the senior center at 7327 Avon Belden Road at 9:45 a.m. May 28 and travel down Bainbridge Road to the Academic Center.
