Fishing Derby Fun in Westlake

Nothing says Spring better than the annual Westlake Rec Fishing Derby! This year’s Derby was held last Saturday at the Rec Center pond, which was stocked and ready for action for the dads, moms and kids who enjoyed this family event.  Plenty of bass, channel catfish, crappie, trout and blue gill were ready to take the hook and reports of 14 inchers were being recorded. Bait and prizes were provided! Photos courtesy City of Westlake.
