Community West Foundation Board Member Robert Warren, Jr.

Robert Warren, Jr. has been on the Board of Directors of Community West Foundation since 2005 and currently serves on the Community Engagement Committee. “The Foundation’s mission is aligned with my own philosophy of charitable giving, so I am privileged to support the meaningful work it does in the community.” Mr. Warren is also a longtime member of the Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital Board and serves as a trustee at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He served as Chairman of the Governance Committee for the Cleveland Clinic Western Region.

Mr. Warren and his family set up an endowment fund to recognize the nursing staff at Fairview Hospital that has demonstrated outstanding clinical care delivery. Having cared for a severely disabled daughter who required full-time care, Mr. Warren developed a passion to help others and thrives on leveraging his established network to help people in need.

Mr. Warren graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, continuing on at the school’s Moritz College of Law, while serving in the Army Reserves. During college, Mr. Warren met his wife-to-be, Anne, at the Rose Bowl. The couple married in 1974, then moved to Washington D.C. He secured a job with the SEC and she worked as an oncology and OB-GYN nurse. Four years later, they decided to come back home, where Mr. Warren established his own law practice and his wife worked for the Visiting Nurse Association. He has a wealth of experience, both as a general counsel for varying businesses, and in representing individuals dealing with complex business and personal matters.

Mr. Warren is the owner and chairman of a powder coating and metal fabrication business, as well as a partner in a Sheffield-based Kia automobile dealership. “I’m a businessman disguised as an attorney,” he says. Mr. Warren is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, D.C. Bar Association and Bluecoats. He is also a part of The Ohio State University President’s Club where the Fisher College of Business computer lab is named in his honor recognizing his philanthropic support of the institution.

The Warrens reside in Westlake and belong to Westwood Country Club. The couple’s daughters, Laura and Elizabeth, live in Nashville and Columbus, respectively. They have 4 grandchildren. In his spare time, Mr. Warren is an Indians and Buckeyes season ticket holder and enjoys frequenting games. He is also a classic car aficionado and a private equity investor.
