An alarm company reported a possible entry at a Bradley Rd. business on March 12 at 8:41PM. Responding officers found a window broken; cash was taken from the register. No suspects.

Unknown suspect(s) filed an online application on March 10 using the identity of a Brick Mill Run man for a $500 loan. The Coshocton bank noted inconsistencies and did not process the requested payment.

On March 13, a NJ man reported that Rx drugs were taken from his room at a Clemens Rd. hotel during the day on March 6. He suspects an unknown employee; the investigation continues.

Also on March 13, a Salem Pkwy. man reported lending his 1995 Chevrolet pickup to his dad’s old friend “Donald” of Cleveland back on March 8. What is Donald’s last name? Good question; the truck owner doesn’t know. What he does know is that Donald promised to return the truck on March 11, but reneged and now won’t answer the owner’s phone calls. The vehicle was entered into the National Crime Information Center computer as an Unauthorized Use. The owner recovered the truck on March 15 in Cleveland.

A neighbor feud erupted into an alcohol-fueled fracas on March 13 at a Detroit Rd. condo complex. A 53-year-old Cleveland woman and a 52-year-old Westlake woman who lives at the location assaulted another 53-year-old female resident of the condos at 7:17PM in the parking lot. There is a history of animosity between the two neighbors; both suspects were arrested for DCI and Assault. A TPO was issued the next day; the Westlake suspect must live elsewhere and be fitted with an alcohol monitoring device.

Upon her release from jail on the evening of March 14, the above Westlake woman went right back to her home. She was arrested again, this time for Violating a TPO.

A 17-year-old Westlake girl left her $300 IPhone on a bench in the Recreation Center gym on March 13 while she played basketball. It was taken by an unknown suspect between 8PM-9PM.

A 50lb. 36in. concrete Tiki god (a mini-version of the Easter Island monoliths) was taken from a Woodpath Tr. yard between Feb. 2-28. The owner reported the statuary snatching on March 14. Polynesian restaurant patrons are requested to be on the lookout.

Two unlocked vehicles were rifled through between March 10-13 in a Rose Rd. driveway. A $600 laptop, 3 GPS units ($200 each), and a $2800 engagement ring were taken. No suspects.

A 42-year-old Westlake woman reported that she is out apprx. $21,000 after befriending a male on an Internet dating sight. The swain purported to be in Malaysia building a hotel, so the pair had to communicate via Facebook. Then, the fellow was in an “accident” and needed money as he was in the “hospital”, which eventually became a need for money for his business. He even had the victim buy and ship $4600+ worth of Apple computer products to Malaysia. She has since been contacted by a Chicago woman who also has been victimized by likely the same suspect. She has been counseled previously by friends and a member of WPD to stop sending money; Western Union also refused to wire money for her when it became obvious she was being scammed. The victim reported the matter on March 14.

A well-traveled homeless man was arrested for DCI on March 17 at 7:40PM for DCI and carrying Various Weapons (a knife). He claimed to have been brought to a Detroit Rd. restaurant by downtown revelers who then ditched him He has a total of 8 active warrants from agencies in the Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati areas, as well as from Osceola County, FL.
