Elisabeth Rudge Wins Historical Society Scholarship

Bay High Senior Elisabeth Rudge has been selected to receive the Bay Village Historical Society’s $1,000 scholarship for 2013.

Rudge, the daughter of Antoinette and Scott, will be attending Cleveland State University, where she will be majoring in business and marketing.

Rudge was active on the softball team; soccer team; participated in HUDDLE (a tutoring program where younger Bay Village students are taught leadership qualities); Rachel’s Challenge (an anti-bullying program); and the Key Club.

Rudge was selected by Bay High School Social Studies Department educators for her love of history.

“I love history and want to travel to all the historic places in the world, like Germany, Italy, France,” Rudge said. “I want to gain real-world experiences.”

Rudge will be honored at the historical society’s potluck supper May 16 and at the Kiwanis Academic Achievement Awards ceremony May 28.
