On 07/18/2013, at 0037 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. near Porter Creek for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the driver, the officer suspected the 23 yoa male driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI.  He will face charges at RRMC.

On 07/14/2013, at 2246 hrs, BVPD received a phone call about a possible motor vehicle accident on Knickerbocker Rd. under the Clague Rd. overpass.  The vehicle had left the scene after the crash.  The caller gave a description of the vehicle and the direction of travel.  BVPD officers located the vehicle with heavy front end damage on Glen Park near Wolf Rd.  Officers located a male near the vehicle, and the male admitted he was driving the car when he struck a curb.  After speaking with the 24 yoa male, officers suspected the male was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI.  He will face charges at RRMC.

On 07/14/2013, at 0343 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Bradley near Ashton Lane for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the 19 yoa male driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI.  He will face charges at RRMC.  The 19 yoa male passenger also had been drinking.  He was arrested for Underage Consumption of Alcohol, and will face charges at RRMC.

On 07/11/2013, at 0008 hrs, a BVPD officer found a 24 yoa male “sleeping” in his vehicle at the Columbia Rd. Beach Parking Lot.  Prior to waking up the individual the officer observed suspected drug paraphernalia on the subjects lap.  When the officer woke the male up, he eventually admitted that he had inhaled some drugs earlier.  The suspected drug paraphernalia was confiscated and set to the State Lab for testing.  Charges are pending.

On 07/10/2013, at 0044 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lakeview because the 42 yoa female driver had an active warrant with BVPD and NOPD, and a suspended driver’s license.  While officers were speaking with her, she was attempting to hide something on the passenger’s seat.  Officers located a syringe and drug paraphernalia.  She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and additionally charged with the Drug Paraphernalia and Driving Under Suspension.  She will face charges at RRMC.
