Turning greens to pink, the annual Triumph for the Cure Golf Scramble to benefit the Breast Health Center, Moll Pavilion at Fairview Hospital was a hit again this year as this signature summer event celebrated 20 years at Westwood Country Club.

Thanks to the combined efforts and generosity of many, the outing raises funds that are critical to breast cancer patients at Fairview Hospital.

In different shades of pink many golfers donned their finest golf apparel, joined Community West Foundation at this event and made a priceless statement in the ongoing battle to defeat breast cancer.

Dr. Debra Pratt, Medical Director of the Breast Center at Fairview Hospital, reported that middle aged females have seen more than a 20 percent improvement in breast cancer survivorship thanks to early diagnostic mammograms nationally. Funds generated by Triumph for the Cure make a significant impact in mammogram programs locally.

This year’s golf outing raised $15,000 to benefit breast cancer patients at Fairview Hospital. With 120 participants this year, Triumph for the Cure celebrates two decades of often life-saving work. Proceeds from this event will provide free mammograms and breast exams to uninsured and underinsured women in our community.
