On Wednesday, September 18, the Westlake Garden Club will host its annual Fête des Fleurs fundraiser luncheon and celebrate its 50 year.
The Club wants the luncheon to be really special, so they chose the beautiful Westwood Country Club at 22625 Detroit Road, Rocky River, as the location for the celebration.
The doors will open at 11 a.m. at which time attendees can explore the exciting raffle baskets, get a beverage at the cash bar, purchase some baked goods to take home, or visit with friends on the lovely terrace.
Lunch will be served at noon and guests will enjoy piano music before and during lunch. Guest speaker, Plain Dealer Home and Garden editor, Julie E. Washington, will start speaking around 1 p.m., followed by a short ceremony to celebrate the club’s 50 years, and the much anticipated raffle.
Proceeds from the luncheon will support community and educational projects. Some past recipients of support from the Westlake Garden Club include: Westlake Board of Education and Lee Burneson Middle School; Lakewood High School’s Horticulture Learning Lab; Westlake Center for Community Services Operating Fund; Westlake Porter Public Library; Cleveland Botanical Gardens Green Corps Project; and the Nature Conservancy, to name a few.
The Clus invites all to join in hope on September 18 at Westwood Country Club and help celebrate 50 years in the community. Tickets are $30, which includes valet parking. Please call 440-892-1861 to reserve tickets.
