The Westlake City School District, in partnership with Westlake World Partners Co., is coordinating the educator exchange with Westlake’s Sister City, Tralee, Ireland. Colleen Mudore, International Baccalaureate coordinator for Dover and Holly Lane elementary schools, will travel to Tralee in October where she will collaborate with an educator who will visit Westlake at a later date. The exchange is meant to foster Westlake’s Sister City relationship with Tralee and relates to the school district’s Continuous Improvement Plan, which promotes experiential learning opportunities and global awareness.

Dover Elementary School recently received a flag of Ireland and a flag of Kerry County, where Tralee resides, from Tralee Mayor Grace O’Donnell, who visited Westlake in March 2012.

Westlake World Partners is a non-profit promoting cultural, civic and educational exchange between Westlake, OH, and Tralee, Ireland.
