Local Election Results

Bay Village Mayor Debbie Sutherland won over her challenge from retired firefighter Marty Mace. Avon’s Bryan Jensen, endorsed by retiring Mayor Jim Smith, won his mayoral bid in the Nov. 5 election. Westlake Schools quest for an operating  levy lost for the second time, and in Bay Village a rezoning question won city-wide but lost in the ward to defeat the bid. Lorain County Community College saw its important renewal pass by a small margin.
