Westlake Police Release Gunshots 911 Call

There are no new developments as to suspect(s), motive, description(s), or vehicle(s) involved as of 10 a.m. April 8.

Event Rewind

Gunfire was reported in Westlake on Sat., April 5. Westlake Police report a call was received at 12:05 p.m. that a business at 30700 Center Ridge Road was hit by gunfire. Police report a second shot fired in their direction when they arrived. No injuries were reported. Center Ridge was closed between Magnolia Parkway and Bradley Road. Residents were advised to stay indoors while police determined the source of the gunfire. The Westshore Enforcement Bureau SWAT team was been activated.

Westlake Police reopened the portion of Center Ridge Road that was closed when gunshots were fired in the vicinity of 30700 Center Ridge late in the afternoon. No arrests have been made. No description of suspect(s). Westlake Police remained on the scene. Some ballistic evidence has been gathered. A Highway Patrol helicopter joined Westlake Police and 8 other law enforcement forces. K9 and mounted units were deployed. The area has been reopened to residents and traffic.
