The 6th annual Taste of Westlake was a hit!
Hundreds of Westlake community members gathered to support Citizens for Westlake Schools, a civic action committee formed to promote and support the Excellence of Westlake Schools, at Wagner’s of Westlake last Thursday, April 24..
18 of Westlake’s best eating establishments provided food for the 6th annual event for guests to try. From savory appetizers to delicious desserts, the The Taste of Westlake was an event to enjoy.
“I am truly thrilled with the outcome of A Taste of Westlake this year. The committee worked hard to make A taste of Westlake a relaxed, inviting and delicious event,” said co-chair Megan Moutoux. “WE were very pleased with the way the businesses of Westlake came together in force to help support Citizens for Westlake Schools: from the venue, to the food, entertainment and decorations.” Many thanks also go to restaurant chairs Kate Applegate and Jessica Kim.
This year’s new location,Wagner’s of Westlake, and the entertainment, Westlake High School class of 2009 graduate and pianist/singer Jonathan Hooper, brought thoughtful changes to showcase the excellence that Westlake has to offer.
All of the proceeds from this event will help fund campaign and outreach efforts for the district’s next operating levy. While an official announcement has not been made, the Citizens for Westlake schools need to be prepared for a campaign in 2014 or 2015.
