Avon-on-the-Lake Garden Club Officers Named

Avon-on-the-Lake Garden Club met Tuesday, May 6th, 2014 at Westwood Country Club for their annual luncheon and installing of officers. New club officers  installed for 2014-15 are Marilyn Swope, President; Bonnie Armstrong, Vice President; Treasurer Lynn Medders; Recording Secretary  Pat Welsh, and Corresponding Secretary Doris Gaertner. The club members were enjoy delightful program “Creative Designing” presented by Barb Schuh, National Accredited Flower Show Judge and member of Cleveland Flower Arrangers Guild.

Memorial Day Plant Sale will be Monday, May 26 at 8 a.m. at Avon Lake United Church of Christ, 32801 Electric Blvd, Avon Lake.

June event will be a field trip to Mill Hollow Nursery on Wednesday, June 4th, 2014.  A hands on class will be present by Jody Frimel, owner of Mill Hollow Nursery at the Vermillion Metro Park. For information call 440-934-1939.
