Upscale elegance was the theme at this year’s Moonlight in the City, Lutheran Hospital’s most anticipated fundraiser of the year.
Hosted by Community West Foundation at the chic Aloft Hotel on Cleveland’s east side of the flats on Saturday, October 18, about 250 guests enjoyed a lively evening of auctions benefiting Lutheran Hospital, including a 7-night trip to Cozumel, Mexico and a 7-night cruise to the Caribbean.
Lutheran Hospital President Dr. Donald Malone warmly welcomed guests and was touched by the generosity of the many sponsors, the hard work of the committee, and the dedication of all the attendees.
Dr. Malone reminded guests of the vital connection between Lutheran Hospital and the west side community. “We have been here for a long time, and we will continue to be here for a long time,” said Dr. Malone of the 204-bed facility that mixes sophisticated technology and advanced medical care with an intimate and friendly environment.
“Our hospital provides leading-edge treatments and does advanced research and surgery, with specialties in orthopedics, spine, behavioral health and chronic wound care, while still retaining the comfortable feel and personal care of a community hospital,” said Dr. Malone. “We are driven to be the absolute best healthcare providers, especially within our advanced specialty areas.”
Located in a vibrant and rejuvenated Ohio City, Lutheran Hospital is convenient to downtown, trendy restaurants, shopping and big league sporting events.
Moonlight in the City proved once again to be a delightful evening filled with good friends, fabulous food, tempting auction treasures, as well as the jazz and swing standards of Red Light Roxy.
The event was a great way to celebrate the commitment to healthcare excellence that Lutheran Hospital has provided to Cleveland’s downtown and West Side residents for more than a century.
