Junkies Arrested While Robbing Westgate Lowe’s

Rocky River Police  responded to Lowe’s at Westgate on a report of a male jumping over the outdoor garden fence and then back into a car with several people in it on Nov. 26 AT 0117 hours.  Officers located a car by the loading docks with a 15 year old female driver, a 47 year old front seat passenger, 47 year old rear seat passenger and an 18 year old rear seat passenger.  The occupants were ordered out of the vehicle.  The 18 year old was found to be in possession of a syringe used to inject heroin.  Other occupants had fresh track marks on their arms from using heroin.  Two Dyson vacuums with a total value of $1048 were found by the loading docks.  In the car a backpack was located containing tools, bolt cutters, wire cutters, and pipe cutters.  Charges included Drug Abuse Instruments, Criminal Tools, Obstructing Official Business, Endangering Children and Breaking and Entering.

Construction worker reports some of his tools stolen out of the basement of a restaurant he is doing work at.  $3,000 worth of tools taken on Nov. 24

MVA Hit/Skip, OVI

Multiple 911 calls received about and MVA hit/skip which occurred in Lakewood and feeing at a high rate of speed on Nov. 23.  The vehicle was described as having heavy front end damage.  An officer located the vehicle on Center Ridge.  The vehicle was eventually stopped on Clague Road.  The driver was asked to exit the vehicle and had glassy eyes, slurred speech and smelled like alcohol.  He was arrested for OVI.

Magnificat High School Theft

Magnificat administrator reports that several students had about $700 taken from their vehicles about one month ago. The report was filed last week
