Bay Police Recover Stolen Car

On 11/24/2014, at 1626 hrs, a BVPD officer was dispatched to Crestview to investigate a suspicious vehicle.  The caller stated an unoccupied car had been parked on the street since 0700 hrs. with its parking lights on.  Upon running the license plate it was discovered the vehicle was entered as stolen from Avon Lake.  ALPD was contacted, and took possession of the vehicle.  Police are investigating.

OVIs

On 11/26/2014, at 22369 hrs, a motorist called in a possible OVI on Lake Rd. near Kenilworth.  Officers located the vehicle and stopped it.  After speaking with the driver, it was determined no alcohol or drugs were involved.  The driver was delivering newspapers.  He was advised about his driving habits.

On 11/29/2014, at 0210 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lincolnshire at Sandalwood for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the 20 yoa driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking and/or using drugs.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the North Royalton resident was arrested for OVI.  Five others in the vehicle were also arrested for underage consumption of alcohol.  Two of the subjects arrested had marijuana in their possession, and two of them had fake ID’s.  They were charged accordingly.  They will all face charges at RRMC.

Skate Park Threat

On 11/29/2014, at 1650 hrs, a Cahoon Rd. resident reported that his wife and young children were threatened by a group of teens while they were at the skate park.  Police are investigating.

Surrender

On 11/29/2014, at 2245 hrs, a 20 yoa resident turned himself into to BVPD for an active warrant he had.  While he was being booked, officers discovered he had a fake ID in his possession.  He was charged accordingly and assigned a court date at RRMC.
