The Elyria High wrestling team posted 71-10 win over Madison Comprehensive in the opening round and a 56-12 win over Ashland in the regional quarterfinals of the OHSAA Dual Meet tournament last night at Westwood School.
The Pioneers now move to the regional semifinals on Feb. 4 against Lorain. It will be a great match featuring two Lorain County teams who are also the top two seeds in their bracket. Action begins at 5 p.m. at Oregon Clay High School.
Clay will meet Perrysburg in the other regional semifinal, also at 5 p.m. Winners of the two semifinal brackets will square off for the regional championship later that evening.
