Hot Ashes Ignite Bay Service Yard Fire

A Walmar Road resident called 911 on April 12 just before midnight to report a City owned fence was on fire on the access road that leads to the City Service Department.  Bay Village Fire responded and extinguished the flames.  After investigating the fire, it was determined a resident had put hot ashes into a recycling bag along with some yard waste and placed it near the fence until trash day.  The coals caught on fire and burned the fence.  No injuries were reported.bay police logo 130121011959_bay-village-police-300x168
