Unwanted ‘Guests’ Invade Bay Home

A resident in the 400 block of Huntmere called Bay Village Police to report that two unknown people entered his house and damaged a window on Aug. 2 at 0426 hours. The two males were last seen running south on Huntmere.  Responding officers learned that a guest of the homeowner had allowed the unknown men to enter the house, and when the homeowner discovered them in the house, he told then to leave.  One of the males broke a window as he was leaving.  Police were unable to locate the males at the time, but responded back to the house at 0620 hrs.  when the males returned.  Police identified the males, and are still investigating.bay police logo 130121011959_bay-village-police-300x168

OVI

On 08/09/2015, at 0005 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Bay View near Lake Rd. for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the 63 yoa male driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as result the driver was arrested for OVI.  The Bay Village resident will face charges at RRMC.

Asleep at the Wheel

On 08/09/2015, at 0338 hrs, a BVPD officer patrolling Huntmere near Wolf Rd. located a male who appeared to be sleeping in the driver’s seat of his vehicle.  When the officer approached the vehicle, the male popped up and began to drive away.  The vehicle stopped after a short distance.  After speaking with the 22 yoa male driver, officers suspected the driver had been drinking and/or using drugs.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result the driver was arrested for OVI.  The North Olmsted resident will face charges at RRMC.
