Orvis Outdoor Outfitters is now open in Crocker Park. Located in Crocker Park’s newest phase, Orvis brings its notable brand of activewear and sportswear rooted in the company’s 160-plus years of passion for the outdoors to the lifestyle center. Orvis is adjacent to Sur La Table and two doors down from Michael Kors at 224 Main St.
Jason Williams, Director of Real Estate for Orvis, says the addition of a Crocker Park location is a natural fit for the company. “Orvis has enjoyed tremendous success in the greater Cleveland area, in both retail- and web-based sales,” he reports. “Our decision to locate a second store in the market was an opportunity to further build on that success, while making it more convenient for more of our customers to fully experience Orvis in a retail environment.”
Customers will find that Orvis offers a wide assortment of both distinctive and active sportswear. Unique gifts and home furnishings, luggage and travel accessories, dog beds and other pet items, as well as fine shotguns, gear, and technical apparel for wingshooting and sporting clays round out the Orvis lineup. Orvis also has a Cleveland location in Woodmere on Chagrin Blvd.
Orvis was founded in Manchester, Vermont, in 1856 by Charles F. Orvis, and is America’s oldest mail-order outfitter and longest continually-operating fly-fishing business. Today, Orvis is an international, multi-channel retailer with approximately 1,700 employees. Their award-winning website, orvis.com, offers more than 5,000 products with 11 million visits/year. Orvis also has 69 retail stores and 10 outlets in the US, and 19 stores in the UK.
