A Free Event Featuring Presentations from Renowned Heart Experts
University Hospitals St. John Medical Center, a Catholic hospital, and University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center are proud to present “Heart Day” – an event featuring presentations by renowned heart experts.
Heart Day is taking place on Thursday, February 18, from 5 – 8:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton (formerly Holiday Inn), 1100 Crocker Road, Westlake. The event is free and open to the public. Appetizers and beverages will be served. Pre-registration is required.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States. Through this event, leading medical and surgical leaders will provide attendees with valuable information and insights to help improve their heart health.
The first of four quarterly events planned for 2016, “Heart Day” will feature a heart-healthy cooking demonstration followed by informative presentations from physicians of UH Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. Heart Day topics will include: the signs and symptoms of heart disease; atrial fibrillation; mitral valve repair and the latest innovations in cardiovascular care. Speakers for the event include: Atul R. Hulyalkar, MD; Kara Quan, MD; Yuriy O. Zhukov, MD; and Daniel Simon, MD, President, UH Case Medical Center and President, UH Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute.
