Bay Village Police: Not So New Neighbor

POLICE_Bay Village_DisclaimerOn 05/09/2016, at 1903 hrs, a Huntmere resident called BVPD to report that an unknown male was just at her house asking for money. The male stated his name was “Jimmy Justice”, and that he had just bought the house across the street. “Jimmy” stated that his car had broken down on the highway, and that the Troopers were going to be towing his car to his new house shortly. He told the resident that he was about $30.00 short for the tow, and asked if he could borrow some money. The resident gave “Jimmy” $30 with the understanding that it would be paid back. The resident later decided to call the realtor, and learned the house had not sold. She described “Jimmy” as a W/M, 40’s, 5’5” tall, balding with black hair, and glasses. The male left the area in a grey Mazda 3 with rear bumper damage and the license plate in the rear window. Police are investigating, and ask if anyone has had a similar experience or recognizes the description to please call BVPD at 440-871-1234.

Driveway Move

On 05/09/2016, at 1409 hrs, a Columbia Rd. resident called to report there was a female laying in her neighbor’s driveway with what appeared to be all of her worldly belongings. Officers arrived and found a 43 yoa female who was moving out of the room she had rented at the residence. She claimed she had nowhere to go. After officers spoke with her, they suspected she had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result the highly intoxicated female was arrested for Disorderly Conduct-Intoxication. She will face charges at RRMC.

Domestic Altercation

On 05/12/2016, at 1328 hrs, BVPD received a call about a possible Domestic in progress at 458 Columbia Rd. Upon arrival, they discovered that it was a verbal altercation between a juvenile female and her adult brother. The brother left the scene prior to police arrival because he had a Felony Warrant from the CCSO for Felonious Assault, and the police had made several prior attempts to serve the warrant. Westlake Police later located the male, 20 yoa Cory Dudas walking down Canterbury in their city. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and transported to County Jail. Police are still investigating the Domestic incident.

Break-in

On 05/09/2016, at 0913 hrs, a Clague Rd. business reported that someone forced entry into a business and caused some damage. Police are investigating.
