An impaired 24 year old Westlake woman left a trail of damaged road signs behind her on Sept. 16. She hit them with her 1995 Toyota Corolla on I-90 in Rocky River and on Columbia Rd. in Bay Village.
She was found on First St. in Westlake and was arrested for OVI-Drugs. She refused to provide a urine sample for testing, but was able to urinate on the mattress and floor of her cell.
Bad Day for Browns Fans
A Toledo couple en route home via I-90 from the Browns game on Sept.18 got into a squabble. The 23 yoa male got out of their car and the 21 yoa female drove along following him. A passing officer stopped to check on them; the female admitted hitting the male out of frustration and was arrested for DV and DUS. The male was found to be under the influence and was arrested for OVI after admitting that he had been driving when the tiff arose. He tested .082 by breath.
Landlord Breaks Into Rental Property
A Bradley Rd. woman reported that her landlord broke into her home on Sept. 17. He admitted as much, claiming that he was evicting her, but could not produce any legal paperwork to support that contention. Court records show one 2016 eviction was dismissed and another is pending. Prosecutor to rule on possible Burglary charge.
Dad Finds Dope
A 16yoa Bassett Rd. boy fought with his 45yoa father on Sept. 19 when dad went to check sonny’s bookbag for drugs. His suspicions were well-founded; marijuana and paraphernalia were in it. Sonny was arrested for DV, POM, Drug Paraphernalia, and Underage Possession of Tobacco. He was taken to the DH.
A PA man called a Center Ridge Rd. firm 11 times on Sept. 20 and threatened to kill everyone there after the company ended its business relationship with him. He also sent vulgar texts to one employee. He was arrested for Agg. Menacing and Telecommunications Harassment when he came to the police station later that day.
A Cleveland man’s 2010 Toyota Camry had the both driver side doors gouged on Sept. 8, causing $00 worth of damage. He reported the criminal damaging on Sept. 16; it took place in a Clague Rd. parking lot.
An unlocked 2014 GMC Arcadia had a $300 pair of sunglasses and $1.25 in change taken from it on the night of Sept. 17. It was parked at the owner’s Hedgewood Way Home.
An intoxicated 48yoa Westlake man took a smoke break at the High School entrance on Sept. 19. He was arrested for DCI and advised not to return to the property by school staff.
A Kingsway woman has been preyed upon by credit card thieves. Her department store account was recently used to make $668 in unauthorized purchases. On Sept. 19, she reported another $1000 in illicit charges had been made in MI using a clothing store account of hers.
$1250 worth of Ohio lottery tickets are missing from a Detroit Rd. store. They had been stored in a safe.
A 38yoa Cleveland man set off the anti-theft system at a Main St. store on Sept. 20. He tried to take $213 worth of property, but was stopped by an employee. He also had a hypo on his person; he was arrested for Petty Theft and Drug Abuse Instruments.
A North Ridgeville woman saw her 48yoa husband outside a Crocker Rd. business on Sept. 20. He is under a TPO which forbids him from coming near her. He ran off when she spotted him. Prosecutor to rule on possible TPO violation.
A 39yoa Hilliard Blvd. woman reported that her 32yoa brother-in-law tried to attack her on Sept. 20. Her son fended him off. She also suspects that the in-law tampered with her car, making it stall and took her wallet and watch out of it. Prosecutor to rule.
A 35yoa Columbia Rd. woman came home intoxicated on Sept. 21 and got into an argument with her parents, hitting mom and kicking dad. She was arrested for DCI and DV x 2.
$10 in change was taken from an unlocked 2007 Toyota Corolla on the night of Sept. 20. It was parked at the owner’s Marshfield Blvd. home.
