Holly Lane School Says ‘Thank You, Veterans!’

Westlake’s Holly Lane Elementary School said ‘Thank You’ to veterans in a very special day last Friday, Nov. 11, with a patriotic assembly that welcomed veterans from the community to the school.

“Our Holly Lane students and staff continue our long-standing tradition of honoring veterans that have served our country and who have preserved the freedoms we enjoy today,” said Principal Mimi Verdone. “To practice the ideals of citizenship and the IB Learner Profile attitude of demonstrating respect, our school community presents a program that includes patriotic songs and a recognition to honor and remember our veterans.”
