The 2017 Lincoln Continental is turning heads nationwide. The all-new luxury vehicle is being hailed a Lincoln’s new “classic” flagship car.

Nick Mayer Lincoln of Westlake is the first dealership in the country to sell one.

“It is pretty cool to be the first in the country,” said General Manager Chad Mayer last week. “We even beat the guys in Detroit!”

The all-new Continentals hit the Nick Mayer lot in October and they are proving to be a hit with customers, too. Nick Mayer Lincoln has sold 17 so far, and there are 11 on the lot.

First buyer was William Lipscomb of Fairview Park. The elegance and affordability of the 2017 Continental made for an irresistible choice.

“I was coming out of a lease on an MKZ and was back to pick up another one,” said Lipscomb. “My salesman was doing the paperwork when he asked me if I’d seen the new Continental. He told me there was one outside.

“This car is for all the people that have been waiting for the full-size luxury automobile to make a comeback,” said Service Manager Dave Moga. “In the beginning, they were going out quicker than we could get them in.”

“To be able to offer a car like this that starts at $45,000 is something that brings a lot of interest,” said Mayer.

Sales have been brisk. “It is a car you have to earn the allocations for,” said Mayer.

JD Power says the new Continental heralds “old world” luxury with a more modern style as the successor to the Lincoln MKS.
