The 2017 Lincoln Continental is turning heads nationwide. The all-new luxury vehicle is being hailed a Lincoln’s new “classic” flagship car.
Nick Mayer Lincoln of Westlake is the first dealership in the country to sell one.
“It is pretty cool to be the first in the country,” said General Manager Chad Mayer last week. “We even beat the guys in Detroit!”
The all-new Continentals hit the Nick Mayer lot in October and they are proving to be a hit with customers, too. Nick Mayer Lincoln has sold 17 so far, and there are 11 on the lot.
First buyer was William Lipscomb of Fairview Park. The elegance and affordability of the 2017 Continental made for an irresistible choice.
“I was coming out of a lease on an MKZ and was back to pick up another one,” said Lipscomb. “My salesman was doing the paperwork when he asked me if I’d seen the new Continental. He told me there was one outside.
“This car is for all the people that have been waiting for the full-size luxury automobile to make a comeback,” said Service Manager Dave Moga. “In the beginning, they were going out quicker than we could get them in.”
“To be able to offer a car like this that starts at $45,000 is something that brings a lot of interest,” said Mayer.
Sales have been brisk. “It is a car you have to earn the allocations for,” said Mayer.
JD Power says the new Continental heralds “old world” luxury with a more modern style as the successor to the Lincoln MKS.

Drive with Enthusiasm: The Nick Mayer Powerhouse Team
Acquiring a new car from a trusted Service location is one of the hallmarks of Nick Mayer Lincoln. With its in-house Lincoln service department and adjacent QuickLane facility, Nick Mayer presents a service management team that boasts over 90 years of powerhouse experience.
Service Manager Dave Moga, with 29 years of experience, and Lincoln Service Specialists Nick Nunnari (33 years) and Sandy Zacharias (28 years) are at the ready for all Nick Mayer customers – even those that drive models from other manufacturers.
“We pride ourselves on our customer service,” said Moga, emphasizing that working around a customer’s schedule is an important part of the service.
There’s nothing better than having a reliable vehicle. If you can drive a new Lincoln MKX, Lincoln MKC, Lincoln MKZ, Lincoln Navigator, and Lincoln Continental to 100,000, 200,000, or even 300,000-mile marks, that’s a big source of pride. Or, maybe you figure your car will be passed on to another owner that’s close to you one day. No matter what, you want a vehicle that lasts.
So, what’s the best course of action to achieve that goal? You can start by following the recommended car service and maintenance schedule from the manufacturer. Leaving your vehicle in the hands of Nick Mayer’s specialists can take care of routine check-ups, diagnostics, and many different repair needs.
“Our friendly service, luxurious waiting room and honest, up-front service are all things we take pride in,” said Moga.
