The Bay Village Rockets Association is again conducting The Great Closet Clean-Out April 7 (3:30-7:30 pm), April 8 (10-6 pm), and April 9 (Noon-5 pm). All funds raised will benefit both Bay Rocket Athletics and Easter Seals. Bay Rocket Athletics relies on fundraising to ensure that Bay Village Schools can maintain athletic teams from 7th to 12th grades. Easter Seals uses these funds to serve over 15,000 people with disabilities. Whether helping someone to strengthen their speech or improve physical mobility, Easter Seals offers a variety of services to help people with disabilities address life’s challenges and achieve personal goals. This clothing drive is an innovative way for these organizations to raise funds without having to sell anything.
Bay Rockets Association will be compensated based on the number of pounds of cloth collected. Acceptable items include clothing, comforters, towels, shoes, and purses. Mattresses are not being accepted. Items can be in any condition. All items will be resold, reused, or recycled. Donations can be dropped off at Bay Middle School, 27725 Wolf Rd. and Bay High School, 29230 Wolf Road, in Bay Village. There will be volunteers available to assist donors during the drop off times. Every bag donated earns a raffle ticket. Prices include $50 cash or gift cards to local establishments. Tax receipts and raffle tickets will be available at the trucks during the drive up and drop off hours. Please clean out your closet and support these great organizations!
