“Liberty Rocks” is the theme of this year’s Crocker Park patriotic party that helps celebrate the Fourth of July.
Part festival, part rock and roll and part patriotic party, Stark Enterprises Vice President Lisa Schwan explains that the June 25 event is “a fusion of our previous summer events that combines the parts that everyone loves most – family friendly entertainment, great live music and fireworks.”
Day-long entertainment starts at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, all leading up to the main act, a performance by Cleveland’s beloved American rock-blues band, Welshly Arms, who will perform on the Main Stage at 8:30 p.m. with fireworks immediately following. Admission is free.
Welshly Arms combines their love of blues with rhythm, soul and rock and roll to create a fresh throwback sound that represents their Midwestern roots. Comprised of Sam Getz (vocals/guitar), Brett Lindemann (keys/vocals), Jimmy Weaver (bass/vocals), and Mikey Gould (drums), Cleveland-based Welshly Arms pays homage to many of their collective musical influences. The power of their live show has quickly catapulted their dedicated following in Ohio to national and international levels.
The Main Stage will be located at Union Green, outside of Regal Cinema. The Main Stage schedule is as follows: 3 p.m. – Victory Highway; 4 p.m. – The Real Popfusion; 4:30 p.m. – Yosemite Slim; 5:45 p.m. – St. Edward High School Trash Talkers; 6:15 p.m. – Rick Smith Jr. Magician; 6:45 p.m. – The Attraxxion; 8:10 p.m. – Patriotic Presentation with The Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism (NEOPAT); 8:30 p.m. – Welshly Arms; 9:45 p.m. – Fireworks
Families will enjoy an array of nearby entertainment which will take place around Union Green and in the adjacent parking lot behind Cheesecake Factory. A mix of interactive vendors and exhibitors, performances by Thriller BMX and Jasmine Dragons and roaming entertainers will wow the crowds and keep the party going all day.
