Mayor Koomar shared news of an active period of growth coming for Bay. Included is a new Bay Village Branch Library at the site of Bay Way Cabin in Cahoon Park, the move of Vivid Jewelers into the Burns Auto location, where the historic building will be renovated and not replaced, and the renewal of the Knickerbocker Senior Apartments through grant funding. Also in the planning stages is a townhouse development by Liberty Developers on the site of the old Shell Station on Wolf near Cahoon.
The City of Bay Village runs on a budget of just over $12 million based on a revenue stream close to the same amount.
