Avon Athletic Director Erich Frombach Honored

Avon Local Schools Athletic Director Erich Frombach has been selected by the Northeast Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NEOIAAA) Executive Board as the 2019 NEOIAAA Meritorious Service Award winner, which is presented to an association member who exemplifies the highest standards of professionalism and who is a positive role model.

The award recognizes special contributions, leadership and service to interscholastic athletics in Ohio and at the local and state level.

Frombach has been the school district’s athletic director since 2006. Prior to coming to Avon, he was the athletic director and assistant principal at Amherst Marion L. Steele High School.

The award will be officially presented at the NEOIAAA Annual Awards Banquet April 7 in the ballroom at the Sheraton Suites Hotel, 1989 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.

The NEOIAAA Executive Committee honors various athletic administrators and other professionals who have contributed outstanding service to interscholastic athletics in Northeast Ohio. The recipients of these awards are nominated by association members, and honorees are selected by the NEOIAAA Awards Committee.
