Bay Police Step in When Amazon Driver Loses Load

On April 7, 2019 at 3:23 pm, Bay Village Police received a call from a Russell Road resident reporting that an Amazon driver had just driven down the road with his back hatch open dropping several packages on the roadway. Bay Village Police were dispatched to the area and ultimately recovered ten dropped packages. Off. Kelly Uber and Off. Mike Flood took it upon themselves to deliver the packages to their intended destinations.

Under the Influence

On Monday April 1, 2019 at 1:41 am, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle on Lake Road, at Bassett Road, for a moving traffic violation. Officers suspected that the male operator was under the influence. The male operator, a 36 year old Findlay resident, failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. Officers also found marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. On station, the male provided a breath sample which showed a .155% blood alcohol content. He is facing multiple charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.

On April 4, 2019 at 1:48 am, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle on Knickerbocker Road at Glen Park Drive for a moving traffic violation. Officers suspected that the male was driving under the influence. The operator, a 28 year old, Bay Village resident, would not perform any standardized field sobriety tests. He was subsequently arrested for OVI. On station, the male refused to submit to a breath test. He is facing multiple charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.

Car Window Broken Out

On April 6, 2019 at 7:50 am, a Juneway Drive resident called Bay Village Police to report that someone broke her vehicle’s rear window out in the overnight hours. Nothing was taken from inside the vehicle. Bay Police are investigating.
