For the past two months, Avon Schools have been reinforcing a culture of acceptance and understanding during a Disability Awareness campaign.
In addition to many disability awareness activities, the district has also been raising funds for Milestones Autism Resources.
The district capped off the entire campaign with the annual Disability Awareness school assembly on Wed., April 17 at Avon Heritage Elementary School. Students were given the opportunity to throw pies in teachers’ faces, as well as dunk administrators. The district raised $9,505 for Milestones Autism Resources!
