The Bay Village Historical Society will hold its first summer porch talk of 2019 on June 9, 2 p.m. at the Osborn Learning Center.
Mary Louise Daley, history advocate, wife of the director of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument a administrator for the Cleveland councilman for the Collinwood District, will talk about Moses Cleaveland. Founder of the city of Cleveland, Moses Cleaveland was a lawyer from Canterbury, CT, a general under George Washington during the American Revolution and a surveyor for the Western Reserve Land Company.
