The Rae-Ann family of skilled nursing facilities marked a milestone last month by celebrating 45 years of local, exceptional and compassionate care.
Owners Sue and John Griffiths welcomed guests and suppliers to an anniversary breakfast the morning of Aug. 23. Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough extolled the care group for its many years of exceptional service.
“We congratulate you on this milestone, and we know why you are successful – because of your people!” commented Mayor Clough.
The Griffiths family opened the first Rae-Ann skilled nursing facility in Cleveland in 1974, dramatically elevating the standard of care and improving the physical environment for area patients. Today, Rae-Ann provides top-quality skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living and memory care services throughout Northeast Ohio. Their facilities include Rae-Ann Westlake, Rae-Ann Suburban, The Belvedere of Westlake and Rae-Ann Geneva.
Excellence in care has always been a hallmark of the Rae-Ann tradition of care. US News and World Report has rated Rae Ann Facilities as “One of America’s Best Nursing Homes” consecutively for the last 7 years.
A commitment to community is also evident in Rae-Ann’s investment in local pride. Since the inception of the Westlake in Bloom awards, their three Westlake facilities have placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd, including this year!
An upbeat and active program of activities is another hallmark of the Rae-Ann commitment to care. Their Belvedere residents have done several music videos. The most recent one featured the song “You Gotta Fight for Your Right”…and it has gotten 7.6 million views on YouTube!
“As we enter our 46th year, we continually look for innovations in health care to serve our rehabilitation patients and our facility residents, and our family surveys confirm the great job our staff does every day,” said John Griffiths.
