Superheroes Save Avon!

Thanks to 28 very special SUPERKIDS, the City of Avon can rest safely once again!

These ‘Superkids’ – children overcoming serious illness or adversity – were invited to Avon’s Aquatic Center Park for a day of battling bad guys and saving Mayor Bryan Jensen from the grips of evil-doers!

“September 14th was THEIR day to be honored as REAL HEROES!” reports the outreach group ‘Super Heroes to Kids in Ohio. “They saved the city by foiling the dastardly plans of a legion of super villains!”

This was the third annual Super Heroes Day in Avon. The afternoon starts with the kids enjoying a lunch at the pool where they are hosted by the city.

Little did they know that while they were being honored, that they would be pressed into frantic action to rescue Mayor Jensen, and save Avon, Ohio AGAIN!

The action saw the kids take part in a variety of skits around the park, culminating with the release of Mayor Jensen from the grips of evil forces. All enjoyed a festive dance party to end the grand afternoon.

“There are so many people and organizations to thank for this special day,” says Brian Chulik of Super Heroes to Kids in Ohio. “Greatest thanks to ‘The Super Kids’ and their Families, the City Of Avon, the hard working volunteers of ‘Super Heroes To Kids In Ohio, Mayor Jensen and his amazing staff, and many more….”
