Jim Ziemnik, Director, Lorain County Metro Parks, will discuss and provide an update on the park district in his program on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at the Avon Garden Club meeting.
Central to its mission, the Lorain County Metro Parks strive to preserve and create a diversity of ecosystems while providing educational and recreational opportunities which are compatible with and promote conservation of these resources. The park system was created in 1957, and currently offers over 1,600 programs.
Avon Garden Club programs are free and open to the public. No reservations are required. We welcome members and guests at 6:30 p.m. with the meeting beginning promptly at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Orchid Room at the Miller Nature Preserve at 2739 Center Rd, Avon, OH 44011.
