The annual Cookie Crumb Crusade supported by area nursing facilities celebrated the holiday spirit the evening of Dec. 19.
Starting at Arden Courts in Westlake, area nurses and social workers were treated to a tour of area nursing providers to share in cookies, hot chocolate and even a few livelier libations as a way to come together over the holiday season.
Arden Courts was the kick-off stop where the VNA, the Welsh Home and Seniors Attorney Margaret Karl shared treats.
Then, with Lee Mahar of Huntinton Woods piloting Santa’s sleigh, the tour continued to Brighton Gardens, Gardens of Westlake, Westbook Place, Huntington Woods, Rae Ann Suburban and Brookdale Westlake Village. On-site cookie contributors also included HealthPro Heritage, Asana Hospice, Bella Hospice, Integrity Home Health and Howard Hanna.
