2020 Avon Lake Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony Cancelled

Avon Lake, Ohio – As a result of the ongoing public health emergency, the 2020 Avon Lake Memorial Day parade and ceremony has been cancelled.

The health and welfare of the community is of primary concern. Therefore, in accordance with the guidance of public health officials and Governor DeWine, the parade and ceremony
have been cancelled.

The American Legion (state and federal) have cancelled all events through August, and Avon Lake’s Post 211 must follow course. It is not a decision taken lightly, but one done with the best interest of the safety of the community.
