Avon Early Childhood PTA Membership 2020/2021

Since the beginning of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the Avon Early Childhood PTA has been closely following guidance from federal, state and local health officials on their recommendations for holding group in-person activities.  After much consideration, our board has decided that all events for the remainder of the calendar year will be either held virtually or postponed/cancelled. We are working on creative solutions to offer innovative programming for these virtual activities and hoping we can reintroduce events in the future.

As an organization dedicated to children and families, it is important for the Avon Early Childhood PTA to set an example, and be a leader in promoting physical distancing to control the spread of the virus in our community. The safety of our families and community has been and will continue to be our top priority, even if it means we have to make choices that impact our traditions and longtime events.

As our plans change for the 2020 activities, we will be amending the price of member dues to reflect this and have lowered them this year to just $5.  This offsets the cost of our national and statewide PTA association dues, but takes into account financial challenges anyone may be experiencing at this unprecedented time.  Now would be a great time to join the organization to try it out and experience this wonderful community of families!!

We will be having our first general meeting Tuesday September 8th via Zoom.
